Brick cladding

Brick cladding tiles and brick cladding slips are sliced from traditional fired bricks, and are made entirely with diluvial clay. Slight colour variation from one batch to another is possible. This is understandable as although every care is taken to ensure uniformity of the ingredients used, sands from different worked areas of the quarry can offer up slight variations, this however can mostly be controlled by mixing with other shades to give a more uniform 'blend' for the final mix.

There are eight styles to choose from in the real brick range, the table below contains the thumbnail links that will take you to the style you are interested in.

'Oud-Neo-Romaans'

Bianco

Gaucho

Paepesteen

This is the 'Oud-Neo-Romaans' selection

Facing brick made entirely with diluvial clay which is cast in one throw, this accounts for the characteristic irregularities and ribs of the finished brick.
The finishing touches to the facing are obtained by mixing two bricks, the "Oud Romaans" and "Neo Romaans". Using artificial ageing techniques, the bricks have obtained the look of old bricks, i.e. broken and rounded-off corners and sides, eroded and weathered visible surfaces with red, black, and yellow colour ranges.
These two bricks are packed separately and have to be mixed on site according to the colour required. This is done by increasing the numbers of one or other of the bricks used, depending on the shade required which will define the final appearance of the brickwork (lighter or darker). The overall effect of this is very pleasing and works well on larger areas becuase of its ability to absorb more bricks into the finished face.
The photos are based on a mix of 50% "Oud" and 50% "Neo Romaans".
Slight colour variation from one batch to another is possible. See the firsts paragaraph for an explanation of this.
